About Ultimate Syrup

Ultimate Syrup is an Ayurvedic Trikatu-based digestive stimulant from Riddhish Herbals — the classical three-pepper blend of Shunthi (dry ginger), Maricha (black pepper) and Pippali (long pepper), with a touch of Jiraka (cumin), carried in a base of jaggery (Gud) and raw honey (Madhu). It is presented as a ready-to-take 200 ml liquid.

Most people meet Trikatu as a dry churna. A spoonable syrup is an uncommon and practical way to take the same classical deepana-pachana herbs — easier on the throat, simple to measure, and convenient for a daily routine. The label positions it plainly for what it is: a digestive stimulant.

Traditional Ayurvedic Importance

Trikatu is among the most widely used herb groups in classical Ayurveda. Shunthi, Maricha and Pippali together are described across the Charaka Samhita, Sharangdhara Samhita and Bhaishajya Ratnavali for their deepana (appetite-kindling) and pachana (digestive) action — supporting Jatharagni, the body's central digestive fire.

Each herb adds its own character. Shunthi (Zingiber officinale) is warming and Vata-Kapha balancing. Maricha (Piper nigrum) is a classic Ushna, deepana dravya. Pippali (Piper longum) is valued as a Rasayana and deepana herb. Jiraka (Cuminum cyminum) is a traditional carminative and ruchya (appetite-supporting) spice that rounds out the blend. The jaggery-and-honey base carries the herbs gently.

Key Features

  • Classical Trikatu, in liquid form — Shunthi, Maricha and Pippali, a combination rarely offered as a ready syrup.
  • Digestive stimulant — traditional deepana-pachana herbs to support Agni and everyday digestion.
  • High herb load — 750 mg of Trikatu plus Jiraka in every 5 ml; a concentrated, honest formulation.
  • With Jiraka — cumin added as a traditional carminative and appetite-supporting spice.
  • Jaggery & raw-honey base — no refined white sugar; sweetened with Gud and Madhu.
  • Easy to take — a measured spoonful, gentler than churna for those who dislike powders.
  • Made by Panchamrut Herbals in a GMP-certified facility (Mfg. Lic. GA/1762); developed and marketed by Riddhish Herbals.

Research and Scientific References

Maricha (black pepper) and Pippali (long pepper) are rich in piperine, a compound studied for its role in supporting the absorption and bioavailability of nutrients and plant compounds.

  • Piperine markedly increased the absorption and serum levels of a co-administered compound in healthy human volunteers. — Shoba G et al., 1998, Planta Medica 64(4):353–356; PMID 9619120 (St. John's Medical College, Bangalore).
  • Piperine, the major active component of black and long pepper, was identified as a potent modulator of drug-metabolising activity — a mechanism that helps explain its bioavailability-enhancing effect. — Atal CK, Dubey RK, Singh J, 1985, J Pharmacol Exp Ther 232(1):258–262; PMID 3917507.
  • Trikatu and its components were described as bioavailability enhancers acting on the gastrointestinal tract. — Annamalai & Manavalan, 1990, Indian Drugs 27(12):595–604.

This modern research echoes the classical role of Trikatu in supporting digestion and the body's use of what it takes in. Findings were observed under study conditions; individual results may vary.

How to Use

10 ml three times a day, ideally before meals — the traditional timing for deepana (appetite-kindling) herbs — or as directed by your Ayurvedic physician. Shake well before use. May be taken with an equal quantity of warm water if preferred.

Pairs With: Plus To Minus Avaleha

Ultimate Syrup works beautifully alongside Plus To Minus Avaleha, our 12-herb, excipient-free lehya. A simple Ayurvedic rhythm: Ultimate Syrup before meals to kindle Agni, and Plus To Minus Avaleha after meals for pachana — a complete before-and-after digestion routine.

Safety Information

To be taken under medical supervision only. Trikatu is warming (Ushna) by nature — Pitta-dominant individuals may prefer a lighter quantity. Consult a qualified Ayurvedic physician before use, especially if you are pregnant, lactating, taking any medication, or managing any health condition. For adults. Keep out of reach of children. Results may vary from person to person.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep the cap tightly closed and use a clean, dry spoon.
