Lekhani Kashay by Ayucare Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd. is a sugar-free proprietary Ayurvedic kwath (decoction) built on the classical Lekhana — "scraping" — principle. Each 10 ml carries extract derived from fourteen classical herbs led by Shuddha Guggul and Arjun (100 mg each), with Trikatu, Triphala, Giloy, Punarnava and Vidang. In Ayurveda, Lekhaniya dravyas are those classically described as scraping away excess Meda (fat tissue) and Ama. Manufactured under Mfg. Lic. GA/1491 in a GMP- and ISO 9001:2015-certified facility in Ahmedabad, and stocked at Riddhish Herbals with a genuine bill and doctor-guided selection.

About Lekhani Kashay — Ayucare

The name Lekhani comes from the Sanskrit Lekhana, the classical Ayurvedic action of gently scraping away accumulated Kapha and Meda. Charaka Samhita devotes an entire group to this principle — the Lekhaniya Mahakashaya (Sutrasthana, Chapter 4) — and Vidanga, one of the herbs in this bottle, sits within that classical group.

Rather than a single herb, Ayucare has assembled fourteen classical dravyas into an aqueous kwath base. It is sugar-free and strawberry-flavoured, which makes a traditional decoction considerably easier to keep to as a daily routine. It pairs naturally with the Lekhani Capsule, the same principle in a capsule format.

At Riddhish Herbals we stock genuine Ayucare stock with a proper bill, and our Ayurvedic physicians will tell you honestly whether this formulation suits your constitution before you buy. That has been our way since 2015. Buyers also search this as Lekhaniya Kashay, Lekhani Kwath, Lekhani Kadha, or in Hindi, लेखनी कषाय.

Traditional Ayurvedic Importance

Shuddha Guggul (Commiphora mukul) — 100 mg. The classical anchor of the formula. Guggulu is described across Ayurvedic literature for its Lekhana (scraping) and Medohara actions, and is the herb most associated with Medoroga in classical practice.

Arjun (Terminalia arjuna) bark — 100 mg. Classically described as Hridya — a herb of the heart — and used in traditional Ayurvedic practice as a strengthening bark. It is present here at the same quantity as Guggul, making it a co-lead ingredient rather than a minor one.

Trikatu (Shunthi · Pippali · Maricha) — 50 mg. The classical three-pungents combination, traditionally valued as Deepana (appetiser) and Pachana (digestive) — the standard classical action words for kindling Agni.

Triphala — 100 mg. The three-fruit trio (Amalaki, Haritaki, Bibhitaki), among the most cited formulations in all of Ayurveda for supporting regular digestion.

Giloy (Tinospora cordifolia) — 100 mg & Punarnava (Boerhaavia diffusa) — 100 mg. Giloy, classically called Amrita, is a foremost Rasayana herb in Charaka Samhita. Punarnava is classically described as Shothahara and traditionally valued for supporting healthy fluid balance.

The supporting group. Arendmool (Ricinus communis), Daruharidra (Berberis aristata), Arnimool (Premna integrifolia), Pashanbhed (Bergenia ligulata) and Apamarg (Achyranthes aspera) each contribute at 100 mg, with Vidang (Embelia ribes), Methi (Trigonella foenum-graecum) and Saragvo (Moringa oleifera) at 50 mg. These are statements of classical record, not health claims.

How to Use & Anupan

Shake well before use. Label dose: 2 to 4 teaspoonful (approximately 10–20 ml) twice or thrice a day, or as directed by your Ayurvedic physician. Traditionally taken with an equal quantity of lukewarm water as the anupan (vehicle). It works best alongside a light, Kapha-balancing diet and regular activity — a kwath supports a routine, it does not replace one.

Who Can Use It

Adults supporting daily metabolic and digestive wellness as part of an Ayurvedic routine. Not intended for children except on a physician's advice. If you are pregnant, lactating, taking any medication, or managing any health condition, use only under the guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic physician. Note that this formulation contains Arendmool (Ricinus communis) — a reason self-medication is not advisable.

Safety Information

Use under the guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic physician. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Consult your physician before use if you are pregnant, lactating, taking any medication, or managing any medical condition. Keep out of reach of children. Results may vary from person to person. This is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, not a substitute for a balanced diet, physical activity, or professional medical care.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Lekhani Kashay?

Lekhani Kashay is a sugar-free proprietary Ayurvedic kwath (decoction) from Ayucare Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd., built on the classical Lekhana (scraping) principle. Each 10 ml contains extract derived from fourteen classical herbs, led by Shuddha Guggul and Arjun at 100 mg each. Available at Riddhish Herbals in a 200 ml pack with genuine billing.

What are the alternate names and spellings?

Also written as Lekhaniya Kashay, Lekhani Kwath, Lekhani Kadha or Lekhaniya Kwath. In Hindi the pack prints लेखनी कषाय. "Kashay," "kwath" and "kadha" all mean the same thing — a herbal decoction.

What does “Lekhani” mean?

It derives from Lekhana, the classical Ayurvedic term for the scraping action attributed to certain herbs. Charaka Samhita groups these as the Lekhaniya Mahakashaya (Sutrasthana Ch. 4), and Vidanga — present in this formula — belongs to that classical group.

Is it GMP made? Does it carry the AYUSH Standard Mark?

It is manufactured by Ayucare Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd. under Mfg. Lic. No. GA/1491 in a GMP-certified and ISO 9001:2015-certified facility at Moraiya, Ahmedabad. The AYUSH Standard Mark does not appear on this pack, so we do not claim it.

Is it sugar free?

Yes. The pack is declared sugar free. It is strawberry-flavoured in an aqueous base, which makes a traditional kwath much easier to take daily.

What is the dose and anupan?

The label dose is 2 to 4 teaspoonful (about 10–20 ml) twice or thrice a day, or as directed by your physician. Shake well before use. Lukewarm water is the traditional anupan.

Can I take it without consulting a doctor?

We recommend against it. This is a fourteen-herb compound formulation containing Arendmool (Ricinus communis) among others, and a qualified Ayurvedic physician should confirm the right dose and duration for your constitution.

How does the Kashay differ from the Lekhani Capsule?

Both follow the same Lekhana principle from Ayucare, but the compositions are not identical — the Kashay includes Arnimool (Premna integrifolia) and is a sugar-free liquid, while the capsule format differs in its ingredient set. Many people find the liquid easier to titrate and the capsule easier to carry. Your physician can advise which suits you.

Have the ingredients been studied scientifically?

Yes. Trikatu — one of the classical components of this kwath — and its compound piperine have been the subject of peer-reviewed research on bioavailability and digestion (see the Research section). These are studies of the ingredients themselves, not medical claims about this product; individual results may vary.

How should I store it, and is it available with a bill?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, cap closed tightly. Riddhish Herbals stocks genuine Ayucare Lekhani Kashay 200 ml with a proper purchase bill, doctor-guided selection and pan-India delivery.
