About Brahmi Vati Gold -- Nagarjun

Nagarjun Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. (Gandhinagar, Gujarat | www.nagarjunpharma.com) is an independent classical Ayurvedic company -- founded in 1979, carrying a five-generation Joshi family Ras Vaidya lineage, and named in honour of Siddha Nagarjuna, the ancient sage described in classical texts as the progenitor of Ras Shastra and the "physician of the gods." Note: This is a distinct and independent Gujarat company -- not the same as Nagarjuna Herbal Concentrates Ltd (Kerala) or any other Nagarjuna-named company.

Brahmi Vati Gold is a classical Ayurvedic Medhya Rasayana tablet referenced in the Sidhdha Yoga Sangrah. Each 100 mg tablet contains 37 label-verified ingredients including Suvarna Bhasma (2.42 mg per tablet), Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri -- 9.00 mg), Kesar (Crocus sativus -- 9.00 mg), and eight other Bhasma and Pishti preparations. The tablet is processed with Brahmi Swaras (Bacopa monnieri whole plant juice) as the classical Bhavana vehicle.

Brand Heritage -- Five Generations of Ras Vaidya Knowledge

The Joshi family's Ras Vaidya tradition spans five continuous generations -- from Ras Vaidya Harishankar Narmadashankar Sharma (Joshi) to the present fifth generation, Atrey Joshi. Vaidya Satish Kumar Joshi (MD Ayurveda, 1979), the fourth generation, established Nagarjun Pharmaceuticals to perpetuate this lineage in a structured manufacturing setting. His father, Shri Hari Shankar Sharma Joshi, was ex-Principal of Pharmacy College, Rajpipla. The company cultivates its own herbs on 100,000 sq. metres of land near Dehgam village, Gandhinagar (22 km from Ahmedabad). Distribution covers all states of India.

Traditional Ayurvedic Importance

Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) is designated in Charaka Samhita (Chikitsa Sthana, Chapter 1) as one of the four principal Medhya Rasayana herbs -- traditionally valued for nourishing Majja Dhatu (nervous tissue) and supporting Medha (intellect and cognitive clarity). Suvarna Bhasma, referenced in Rasa Ratna Samuccaya and Rasatarangini as a premier Tridosha-balancing Rasayana mineral, forms the cornerstone of the mineral group. Shankhapushpi (Convolvulus pluricaulis), described in Ashtanga Hridayam as a Medhya herb, and Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), a classical Balya Rasayana, provide additional classical support at 1.61 mg each.
