Kesh Nirogi Anti-Dandruff Oil is an Ayurvedic proprietary medicine for external scalp care, bringing together three oils long associated with scalp comfort in classical Ayurveda — Neem (Nimba), Karanj (Naktamala) and Dhatur Patradi oil. Each 100 ml bottle comes in a precision pump pack from Riddhish Herbals.
In Ayurveda, the rough, flaky, itchy scalp is described as Darunaka, a scalp condition discussed among the Kshudra Rogas in classical texts such as the Sushruta Samhita and Madhava Nidana. This oil follows that traditional approach to everyday scalp upkeep.

About Kesh Nirogi Anti-Dandruff Oil
A defined three-oil composition for external use, brought to you by Riddhish Herbals, Gujarat's trusted Ayurvedic store since 2015. It is built on Neem and Karanj, two herbs traditionally valued in classical skin and scalp care, with Dhatur Patradi oil.
The Precision Pump — Every Drop Reaches the Scalp
What sets this oil apart is how it is delivered. The pump releases a sharp, single stream of oil — not a soft mist — so the oil travels straight through the hair and lands exactly where it is needed, on the scalp. Nothing is lost to oily palms, sticky fingers, spills, or oil left clinging to a spoon or bowl. One press sends a clean, targeted line of oil to the roots, so every drop goes to work on the scalp instead of being wasted in handling. It is a small change that customers in our retail stores have responded to warmly.
Traditional Ayurvedic Importance
Neem (Azadirachta indica) is classically described in the Bhavaprakasha Nighantu (Guduchyadi Varga) as Kushtaghna and Kandughna — valued across the centuries in traditional skin and scalp care. Karanj (Pongamia pinnata) appears in the same classical tradition for Kushtha and Kandu, with Karanja Taila long applied to the skin and scalp. Dhatur Patradi oil, prepared from Dhattura leaves, has a traditional place in external scalp applications within Ayurvedic practice.

Research & Scientific References
The herbs in this oil have been studied. A peer-reviewed in-vitro study reported antibacterial activity for the seed oils of both Karanj (Pongamia pinnata) and Neem (Azadirachta indica). (Baswa et al., 2001 — Microbios; PMID 11414503) A pharmacological review of Karanj also summarises its traditional and pharmacological uses. Frequently Asked Questions
Who makes Kesh Nirogi Anti-Dandruff Oil?
It is marketed by Riddhish Herbals and manufactured by Panchamrut Herbals (Mfg. Lic. No. GA/1762).
What is in this oil?
Neem Oil 35%, Dhatur Patradi Oil 35% and Karanj Oil 30% — the full label composition.
How do I use the pump pack?
Part the hair and press the pump once to send a sharp single stream of oil straight to the scalp, then massage in. Because it does not mist or spill, almost no oil is wasted on the hands.
Can it be swallowed?
No. This is for external scalp use only.
What are the other names of the herbs?
Neem is Nimba (Azadirachta indica), Karanj is Naktamala (Pongamia pinnata), and Dhatur is Dhattura (Datura metel).
Is it available at Riddhish Herbals?
Yes — at riddhishherbals.com and our Gujarat stores, with genuine product and bill provided.
Is this a medicine for a diagnosed scalp condition?
No. It is an Ayurvedic proprietary oil for external scalp care. Darunaka, named on this page, is a classical Ayurvedic category described among the Kshudra Rogas in the Sushruta Samhita and Madhava Nidana — it is not a modern diagnosis and we do not present it as one. If a scalp problem persists or worsens, see a doctor rather than continuing with an oil.
Can I use it if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Ask your physician first. It is for external use only, which lowers the question considerably, but this oil contains Dhatur Patradi oil prepared from Datura metel leaves, and that is a herb about which classical practice is careful. We would rather you checked.
How often should I use it, and how long before washing?
As your Ayurvedic physician directs. In general practice the oil is applied to the scalp, massaged in with the fingertips, and left on for a period before washing out — not left indefinitely. Your physician will set the frequency and the duration for you.
Why is Datura in a scalp oil?
Dhattura leaf oil has a long-standing place in external Ayurvedic scalp and skin applications, and it is declared openly on the carton at 35 per cent rather than hidden behind a proprietary blend name. It is also the reason this page says the oil must never be swallowed and should be kept away from children. External use only, without exception.
Has anything in this oil been studied?
Two references are given above with the sources named. The first is a laboratory study of Karanj and Neem seed oils and carries a PMID you can check; the second is a published pharmacological overview of Karanj. Neither concerns this finished three-oil formulation, and neither is offered as a claim about what this product will do for you. Findings were observed under study conditions and individual results may vary.
