About Suvarna Parpati
Suvarna Parpati belongs to the Parpati group of Rasaushadhi — mercurial preparations set into thin flakes (parpati) after the Kajjali stage. The Suvarna (gold) variant carries Swarna Bhasma alongside the Kajjali of Parada and Gandhaka, and is described in classical Rasashastra literature as a Rasayana.
This is the Virgo UAP Pharma preparation, sold by Riddhish Herbals with a bill and doctor-guided selection. The composition below is reproduced exactly from the approved pack.
The Rasashastra behind it
These are Rasaushadhi — medicines of Rasashastra, the classical Ayurvedic pharmacy of processed minerals and metals. Each mineral passes through Shodhana (purification) and Marana (incineration into a Bhasma), and mercurial preparations through Kajjali and Kupipakwa — graded heating in a sealed Kupi within the Valuka Yantra. What the Samskara yields is a new, nanocrystalline substance, not the raw metal that entered the furnace. In Suvarna Parpati, Shuddha Parada and Shuddha Gandhaka are triturated into Kajjali — a lustreless black sulphide levigate — and then processed by the Parpati method into flakes, with Swarna Bhasma incorporated. X-ray studies of mercury–sulphur Ayurvedic preparations of this class identify the mercurial phase as nanocrystalline cinnabar (α-mercuric sulphide), among the most insoluble compounds known — a new substance produced by the Samskara, not raw Parada.
Naming is exact here: Kajjali is not Parada, and the finished Parpati is neither. The classical process is what the value rests on, and it is stated plainly rather than reduced to a raw metal.
Traditional Ayurvedic importance
Classical Rasashastra texts group Suvarna Parpati among Rasayana and Deepana–Pachana preparations, traditionally described in the Grahani and Atisara context (as classically recorded in Rasa literature such as Siddha Yoga Sangraha and Rasa Tantra Sara), and valued for supporting digestive strength and general vigour as part of a physician-directed routine.
Swarna (gold) Bhasma is traditionally regarded in Ayurveda as a Balya and Rasayana dravya. These are traditional textual attributions, shared for context, not medical claims.
Research on the Constituents
◆ Ota, Singh, Srikanth, Sreedhar, Ruknuddin & Dhiman (2017) — Ancient Science of Life 36(4):207–214, CCRAS. X-ray diffraction of a classical Suvarna–Mukta Rasaushadhi identified cinnabar (α-mercuric sulphide from the Rasa Sindura), cassiterite, massicot and magnetite as the crystalline phases produced by the Samskara. Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture, tightly closed in the original pack, out of reach of children.
