About Tummy Ease Drops
Colic and wind are the oldest worries of a new parent, and Ayurveda's answer has always been the gentle carminative and deepana-pachana herbs. Tummy Ease Drops is a broad classical blend of about thirty such dravyas in a palatable, alcohol-free and preservative-free liquid, made by Cadila Pharmaceuticals and marketed by its herbal division ChezGreen.
Two things stand out on the pack for a parent. It is alcohol-free and preservative-free, with no added synthetic colour — a real consideration for a drop meant for infants and small children. And it is a liquid, which makes it easy to give in a small measured quantity. The right amount for a baby should always be set by your paediatrician or Ayurvedic physician, which is why we do not print an infant dose here.
Traditional Ayurvedic Importance
The formula reads like a classical carminative pharmacy. The three pungents — Adaraka (ginger), Maricha (black pepper) and Piplimul (long-pepper root) — are the Trikatu group repeatedly cited in Bhavaprakasha for a weak Agni. Around them sit the aromatic deepana-pachana spices: Mishreya (fennel), Ela (cardamom), Lavang (clove), Tvak (cinnamon), Ajmoda (celery seed) and Shatahva (dill) — the same gentle seeds a grandmother reaches for after a heavy meal.
A second group carries the classical bitter, Agni-kindling action — Katuka (Picrorhiza), Bhunimba (Kalmegh) and Indrayava (Kutaja seed) — while Vidanga is the classical krimighna dravya and Haritaki, the great Haritaki of the Haritakyadi group, is valued for gentle vata-anulomana. The salts Sauvarchala and Saindhava are traditional deepana adjuncts. This kind of broad children's carminative blend belongs to the Balachikitsa (paediatric) stream of Ayurveda described in Kashyapa Samhita. Each herb is named for its classical action, not for any modern disease.

How to Use
Best taken as directed by a qualified Ayurvedic physician. For infants and young children, the appropriate quantity and timing should always be decided by your paediatrician or Ayurvedic physician — which is why we do not print an infant dose on this page. The drops can be given directly or mixed with a little water, before feeds or meals, as advised.
Who Can Use It
A gentle everyday digestive drop for infants, children and adults. For infants and small children it should be given only on the advice of a paediatrician or Ayurvedic physician, who will set the right quantity. If your child is on any medication or has a health condition, or if you are pregnant or lactating and taking it yourself, consult your physician first.
Safety Information
Tummy Ease Drops is a licensed Ayurvedic proprietary medicine for general digestive comfort, not a remedy for any disease. For infants and young children, give it only under the guidance of a paediatrician or Ayurvedic physician, who will decide the correct quantity — we deliberately do not print an infant dose here. Consult your physician if the child is on medication or managing any condition. Keep out of reach of children. Results may vary from person to person.
Storage
Store below 30°C, protected from direct sunlight, in a cool dry place. Close the cap firmly after use and keep out of reach of children.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are Tummy Ease Drops used for?
They are an Ayurvedic digestive liquid traditionally used to support comfortable digestion — the everyday wind, heaviness and unsettled tummy of infants, children and adults. The pack positions them for digestive comfort, not as a remedy for any disease.
Are they safe for infants and newborns?
They are made for infants and children and are alcohol-free and preservative-free with no added synthetic colour. That said, for a baby the right quantity must be decided by your paediatrician or Ayurvedic physician — please use them only under that guidance.
What is the dose for my baby?
We do not print an infant dose, on purpose: the correct quantity for a young child depends on age and should be set by your paediatrician or Ayurvedic physician. Please follow their advice and the pack label.
Do they contain alcohol or preservatives?
No. The pack declares Tummy Ease Drops to be alcohol-free and preservative-free, with no added synthetic colour — which is why parents often prefer them for small children.
What is actually in them?
Around thirty classical herbs and carminative spices in a flavoured base — the Trikatu pungents (ginger, black pepper, long pepper), aromatic seeds (fennel, cardamom, clove, cinnamon, celery, dill), bitters (Katuka, Kalmegh, Kutaja), Vidanga, Haritaki, Aloe and more. The full label composition is listed above.
Are they Ayurvedic, and who makes them?
Yes — a licensed Ayurvedic proprietary medicine (Mfg. Lic. No. GA/1733), manufactured by Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd and marketed by its herbal division ChezGreen.
What are the alternate names of the main herbs?
Vidang is Vidanga (Embelia ribes); Haritaki is Harad (Terminalia chebula); Adaraka is ginger (Zingiber officinale); Mishreya is fennel/saunf (Foeniculum vulgare); Yashtimadhu is mulethi/liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra). Both Sanskrit and common names are given so the formula is easy to recognise.
Has any of this been studied?
Yes, for the herbs' traditional digestive use — for example a placebo-controlled study of fennel-seed oil for infant digestive discomfort (PMID 12868253) and one on ginger and gastric motility (PMID 21218090). These describe the individual herbs; individual results may vary and this is not a medical claim.
How should I store them, and are they genuine at Riddhish Herbals?
Store below 30°C away from sunlight, out of reach of children. Yes — Riddhish Herbals stocks genuine Tummy Ease Drops with a bill provided and ships pan-India.
