Javahar Mohra belongs to the Ratna–Pishti tradition of Rasashastra rather than the mercurial Rasa line. Precious and semi-precious stones (Manikya/ruby, Panna/emerald, Trinakantamani/amber) and shell- and pearl-derived materials are first subjected to Shodhana (purification), then reduced to an ultrafine, cool Pishti by prolonged Bhavana — wet trituration in Gulab Arka (rose water) over many days — with Suvarna and Raupya Varka and select Bhasmas. No heat-driven Marana or Kajjali is used; the Samskara here is levigation, which micronises the gems into a smooth, cooling powder. How to Use
