About Arjun Chaal Powder
Arjun Chaal Powder is the finely milled stem bark of Terminalia arjuna, a tall deciduous tree found along the river valleys of the Indian subcontinent. In Ayurveda this bark is called Arjuna twak, and its powdered form is known as Arjuna Churna. Riddhish Herbals offers it as a pure single-herb churna in a 100g pack, with no fillers, added colours, or sugar.
The bark has held a place in Indian wellness traditions for well over a thousand years. Classical physicians grouped Arjuna among the Hridya dravyas — substances regarded as supportive to the heart — and it remains one of the most widely studied botanicals in modern Ayurvedic research.
Traditional Ayurvedic Importance
In classical Ayurvedic literature, Arjuna twak is described as Hridya, a substance that supports the heart, and is referenced in the context of Hridroga as understood in Ayurveda. Bhavaprakasha Nighantu places Arjuna among the cardiotonic herbs, and the bark forms the base of the classical preparation Arjunarishta (also recorded as Partharishta). The classical Gujarati compendium Aaryabhishak, which Riddhish Herbals draws on across its own-brand range, also records Arjuna among traditional heart-care herbs — a reference very few sellers cite.
Traditional texts describe its rasa (taste) as kashaya (astringent) and its virya (potency) as sheeta (cooling). It is classically taken as part of a guided daily routine rather than as a standalone remedy.

Research and Scientific References
Arjuna is among the most extensively researched cardiovascular botanicals in Indian medicine. A double-blind crossover study published in the International Journal of Cardiology observed changes in heart-failure symptom scores in adult patients under study conditions (Bharani et al., 1995). A later academic review summarised the experimental and clinical literature on the bark's traditionally recognised cardiotonic role (Maulik & Talwar, 2010). Results were observed under study conditions. Individual results may vary. Consult your Ayurvedic physician before use.
How to Use
The classical dose is roughly half to one teaspoon (about 2–3 g) once or twice daily, or as directed by your physician. The traditional anupan (vehicle) is warm water; for heart-support routines it is classically prepared as Arjuna ksheerpaka, simmered in milk and water. Take on an empty stomach or as advised.
Safety Information
Use strictly under the guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic physician. Consult your physician before use, especially if you are pregnant, lactating, taking any medication, or managing any medical condition. Keep out of reach of children. Results may vary from person to person.
This is a single herb, not a substitute for any prescribed cardiac, blood-pressure, or thyroid medication. Stay within the recommended dose. If you take cardiac, antihypertensive, or thyroid medicines, use only under medical supervision.
