Pratirakshak Ukalo Liquid is a ready-to-use Ayurvedic decoction — an ukalo, the Gujarati word for a warm herbal kadha — built around eight time-honoured herbs: Guduchi, Tulsi, Vasa, Kariyatu, Nagarmoth, Punarnava, Neem and Sunth. For generations, it has belonged to the household routine of changing seasons, taken as a simple warm daily measure.
About Pratirakshak Ukalo Liquid
A ukalo (also written ukado, and known elsewhere as kadha or kwath) is a herbal decoction taken warm. This liquid extract delivers each of its eight herbs in a measured 350 mg per 10 ml dose, so there is no powder to boil and strain. Earlier sold as Pratikar Ukalo, it is now offered as Pratirakshak Ukalo — the name draws on Vyadhikshamatva, the classical Ayurvedic idea of the body's own capacity for resilience. It is intended as part of a daily seasonal-wellness routine, especially through the monsoon and the turn of the weather.
Traditional Ayurvedic Importance
Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), called Amrita — "the nectar of immortality" — is described in the Charaka Samhita among the premier Rasayana (rejuvenating) herbs and is classically referenced in the context of Jwara (the traditional term for fever-related imbalance). Tulsi, the sacred basil, is valued across classical literature as a warming herb for the chest and breath. Vasa (Adhatoda) holds a long-standing place in Ayurveda for respiratory comfort, while Kariyatu (Kalmegh, the "King of Bitters") is among the most respected bitter tonics of the tradition. Nagarmoth and Sunth bring Deepana–Pachana (digestive-kindling) warmth, and Punarnava and Neem round out a formula shaped by centuries of classical use.

Research and Scientific References
Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) has been examined in published clinical research for its traditionally recognised role in immune balance: in a double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled crossover trial in healthy adult volunteers, changes in immune-signalling markers were observed under study conditions (Mondal et al., 2011 — Journal of Ethnopharmacology; PMID 21619917). Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) has likewise been widely reviewed for its traditionally recognised adaptogenic and immunomodulatory properties — (Chaudhary et al., 2024 — Heliyon; PMID 38813196). Results observed in study conditions; individual results may vary. Consult your Ayurvedic physician before use.
