Safed Musli Powder (Shweta Musali Churna) is a single-herb Ayurvedic root powder prepared from Asparagus adscendens (Root) 100%, as printed on the pack. In classical Ayurvedic literature, Musali is described as a balya (strengthening) and rasayana (rejuvenating) dravya. Riddhish Herbals supplies it in a 50g pack, manufactured at a GMP-certified facility under Mfg. Lic. No. GA/1762.
About Safed Musli Powder
Safed Musli is one of the classical strengthening herbs of Ayurveda. The name "Musali" actually covers a small group of botanically related roots — and the two best known are Shweta Musali (Asparagus adscendens) and the closely related Chlorophytum borivilianum. This particular powder is prepared from Asparagus adscendens root, exactly as stated on the label.
Only the fleshy tuberous root is used. It is cleaned, dried and milled into a fine, off-white churna with the characteristic earthy aroma of genuine Musali. No fillers, no added colour — just the root, powdered.
Traditional Ayurvedic Importance
Musali finds mention in classical nighantu literature, where it is grouped among the balya and vrishya dravyas. Bhavaprakasha Nighantu describes Musali as madhura (sweet) in taste, guru and snigdha in quality, and traditionally valued for nourishing the body's tissues and supporting strength.
By classical attribution it is considered brimhana (nourishing) and a rasayana (rejuvenating tonic). Texts place it among herbs taken to maintain vigour and resilience, particularly during seasonal transitions and times of physical fatigue. It is described as pacifying to Vata and Pitta.

Research & Scientific References
Published phytochemical work on Asparagus adscendens has documented that its roots are rich in steroidal saponins — chiefly spirostanol and furostanol glycosides — alongside carbohydrates, proteins, dietary fibre and minerals, which researchers associate with its long-standing use as a traditional strengthening tonic. (Therapeutic and nutraceutical potential of Asparagus adscendens — World Journal of Pharmaceutical Research; and Traditional uses, Phytochemistry and Pharmacology of Asparagus adscendens Roxb., 2024.)
Findings reported in published literature describe the herb's composition and traditional context only. They are not a promise of any therapeutic outcome. Individual results may vary. Consult your Ayurvedic physician before use.
How to Use & Anupan
General traditional measure: ½ teaspoon (about 1–2 g) once or twice a day, or as directed by your Ayurvedic physician. The classical anupan (vehicle) for Musali is warm milk, often with a little sugar; it may also be taken with warm water.
Tip: to avoid lumps, first make a smooth paste with a little water, then stir into warm milk.
